Domestic Granite: Quarried in North America
Why do we favor domestic granite over import options? Our top reasons include:
- Purchasing American granite supports American manufacturing and trade
- American granite comes with quality control checks and a manufacturer warranty
- American granite is typically more dense allowing for deep, consistent engraving that lasts for decades
- American granite ages more predictably
- American granite is ethically-sourced in legal mining operations and responsibly produced with appropriate safety measures in place
For premium quality granite that can be relied on to stand the test of time and support the advancement of American industry, we place our trust in American granite.

Import Granite: Quarried Internationally
Although we primarily source our monument granite domestically, we understand that some of the most popular monument colors can only be sourced internationally. Some important notes about import granite:
- Most import granites will not come with any manufacturer warranty
- Some import granite is mined illegally or using unethical labor practices
- Low quartz compositions in import granite result in a softer stone which cannot be engraved as deep
- Import granites often feature more exotic patterns or colors
