Domestic Granite: Quarried in North America

Why choose domestic granite over import options? Here are a few reasons for your consideration: 1) Purchasing U.S. based granite supports American manufacturing and trade, 2) American granite comes with a manufacturer warranty for quality, 3) American granite is typically more dense, more durable, and more consistent than import granite, and 4) American granite selections feature some of the highest quartz compositions in the world, offering some of the purest granites on the market. All of these factors play into the longevity of headstones and monuments, which are expected to remain in the elements for tens to hundreds of years.

Import Granite: Quarried Internationally

These are our most popular import granite options. Although we primarily source our monument granite domestically, we understand that some of the most popular monument colors can only be sourced internationally. Most import granites will not come with any manufacturer warranty. Many of the popular black “granites” on the market are not true granite at all as they contain no quartz, and are instead referred to as “gabbro” stone. Gabbro ages and weathers differently than granite, especially in hot and wet environments, potentially impacting the monument’s longevity and durability.
