Accent Monuments was founded in 1991 by long-time Maderans, Mark and Janet Peruch. The business has been family-owned and operated for more than 30 years. In 2025, family-friend Lauren “Lou” Garrison stepped in to continue Accent Monument’s legacy.
Engraving Services
Accent Monuments achieves a traditional deep-carve using modern sand-carving methods, producing beautiful high-detail designs on a variety of substrates. Our engraving services go beyond granite monuments and memorials, with custom carving available for the production of art, signage, and more.

Accent Monuments is powered by the design capabilities of Baroness Design Inc., an art and graphic design entity offering a range of media and design specialty solutions.
Monument Care & Cleaning
It’s a question we get asked often: “How do I clean and care for my loved one’s memorial?” We have compiled a brief reference guide that includes some of our best cleaning and care recommendations, as well as some photos that might illustrate the most common kinds of grime build-up for our local Central California cemeteries.
